John 13:34-35
Love One Another
34 "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Two thousand years ago, Jesus gave the commandment that we love one another: just as He have LOVED His Disciples...The Disciples were to love one another, so others could see them and by their closeness and fellowship others would know that they were His Disciples....By this all people of Israel and the world would know that we too are disciples of Jesus, if we have love for one another and show this kindness and love that He was talking about...
The more we love one another the closer, we are to Jesus...Love is a fruit of the Holy Spirit...But it seems in the world at this time there is less love, so it is harder to see those disciples of Jesus, and those who are not...It seems there is a polarization of people going on today that misses the Truth...The Truth told us to not only love to one another, but also to love our enemies...It is easy to love only those that believe in your opinions and beliefs, but much harder to believe in those that oppose what you believe in...Even the pagans do that...
Regardless of what one believes, we are all sinners and Jesus came for all sinners...Jesus came to save us from our sins, and be everyone's Savior who believed in Him, and the One who sent Him...
Philosopher Criss Jami writes, “There are those who feel that the world is ultimately moving closer to Truth and to prosperity as the times evolve; then there are those who feel that it is ultimately moving farther away from Truth and into self-destruction...From this, and if it were really that simplistic, one might get the impression that life gravitates slightly into two types of people whom which are diametrically opposed in spirit.”...
