The Word Became Flesh
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.
3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of men.
John 13:33-35
Jesus on His Departing and Love
33"My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come.
34"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Jesus was with God in the very beginning...Through Jesus all things are made...He came to earth to show us how to live...He is the very light of life...
Jesus teaches us so much about love and forgiveness, but also about sin...I am not sure even today that we as mankind get it (what He teaches)...We are created in His Father's image...In this sense, I find it both odd, but mostly sad, that the One who made all things and -without Him, nothing would have been made, had to come down to earth and remind us, in His last command to love one another...
