John 3:16-21
Jesus Did Not Come to Condemn Us
16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”
John 12:44-50
Jesus Did Not Come to Judge Us
44 Then Jesus cried out, “When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. 45 When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me. 46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.
47 “As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. 48There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. 49 For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. 50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”
Acts 4:8-12
Jesus Came to Save Us
8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: "Rulers and elders of the people! 9If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed, 10then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11He is
" 'the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the capstone.12Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
People that hear the word of Jesus, will not be judged by Him, because He did not come to judge the world...Also God did not send His Son to condemn the world...We are told Jesus did not come to judge the world, "but to save it."...We are also told He did not come to condemn our world, "but to save the world through Him."...Jesus did not come either to judge the sinner or condemn the sinner, but to save the sinner...The Son of the Blessed One came to save us...He did this both is His living and His dying for us...
The very words that Jesus speaks and spoke while He was on earth, came from His Father...His Father, our LORD will be our judge...Those very words which will save us, may also condemn us on the last day, if we reject His words and His Father...No one follows God, more than Jesus, each word He spoke on earth has and had meaning, and it was what His Father told Him to say...God is the Perfect Judge...He is both Infinite and Eternal...Our Creator has made us in His image and we have sinned...Some of us sin everyday...We, therefore, need a Savior, from our sinful ways...We could have paid for our sins each and everyday, for the rest of this life and our next, but God loves us, and He loves the world...He did not want to punish us each day for the sins we commit...So He had this plan, to send His Son, to pay for all of man's sins...An Infinite One, who would die on the cross and pay for all the sins we have committed...This Infinite One, who is not in time (now), who is Eternal could pay for our sins once, and if we believe in Him and the One who sent Him, them our sins are and will be forgiven...
Jesus lived on earth and He had the same desires, pleasures, and temptations that we confront each day...But no man was or is as focused on the Father, as He is...In fact, He and the Father are One (John 10:30)...God was the central part of Jesus life, and this is how He lives...Most of us don't live this way, as we get caught up in the daily life of business, shopping, work, house, job, car, family, and our desires...When we read through the gospels, we see that He not only teaches us how to live by His death (and Him dying for us), but He saves us in how He lived His life on earth...A central part and the foundation of our life, being God, His Father, our LORD is the way to live...God gives Jesus and us the freedom of choice...We are free to choose Him, and what Jesus teaches us -the treasures of the eternities, or we can live for job, house, car, vacation homes, and the treasures of this earth...God loves us and wants us to follow Him, not just when we are in trouble, but all the time...
So Jesus did not come to condemn us or to judge us...He came to save us...Being saved or salvation is found in no One else, for there is no other name given to men by which we must be saved...Jesus saves all those who receive His salvation...He not only died to save us, but He saved us in how He lived on this earth, so we would know these things (about God and the eternities) and be able to read about them and learn from them...
