I started to create a survival genre game in unreal engine 5. The game has; health, thirst and hunger stats that passively drain, a pickaxe with idle / moving animations, collectables to refill stats and audio to accompany them.
Creates the widget and sets the drain hunger / water stats to loop every 6 - 9 seconds each
Every time the function is called, the hunger stat decrements and updates the UI.
Gets the percentage of the hunger / thirst left then adds to the UI widget.

When the player picks up the melon, the actor is destroyed and gives the player 40 hunger stat, up to a maximum of 100 hunger stat, then plays a sound and updates the widget.
