Since the character has a rounded face, the audience will feel empathy towards him. Since the body isn't very squared off, we feel like this character is not very strong whilst also making them seem more "movable" emotionally. The lack of triangles suggests this character is very friendly.
Pops , the character, has a very rounded head which makes us feel warm and welcomed. The smooth circular / rectangular body makes this character seem friendly and compassionate due to the shape theory clevilly used.
The torch object from the game the forest. The torch has a rounded end to signify that it is useful and dependable for the player. The torch also has a rectangular body which may be used as the light it gives could produce horror for a player as they discover horrific enemies in the level using the light produced. This means the object is neutral whilst being friendly as it offers the user light but at a cost of being defenseless and exposed.
The triangular shape of a warning sign makes onlookers aware of the danger effectively as triangles are associated with dangers. This is effective as the onlookers will see this sign quicker and easier and reduce their chances of being in danger.
Doofenshirmtz, the character, has a very triangular face with a posture that isn't very rectangular. This combination is used to show how he is dangerous from his face whilst making him seem more movable with the posture he possesses. It evokes a feeling of caution as the shapes he consists of suggest he could be a character which we want to avoid.
In this level of Geometry Dash, their are many different squares and circles used. For example, the platforms that the player can jump on are squares which make them seem neutral and useful for the player. However, their are triangular objects that destroy the player if they touch them. The choice of a triangle for a dangerous object is great as triangles are associated with danger, giving the player an idea of the dangers without giving them a direct message of "these are dangerous".
In the map Shipment, the structures are mostly rectangular based and have very little triangles on the map. The use of mainly rectangles on this map is effective as danger can come from anywhere so having these rectangles make the player more confused to where imminent danger lies. The layout of a central 4 rectangles leads the player to the centre of the map where the most dangerous aspects, players, will usually be. This means that combat is more common and promotes the map to "rusher" player styles.
The arc star, an object, consists of triangular edges with a circular centre. This combination is clever as the sharp triangular edges show that the weapon is dangerous to people who come into contact with it whilst the safe circle at the centre promotes the idea that the object is safe the hold in the middle and may also be able to scare enemies off to keep them safe.
Overall, it is clear that the shapes that make up a object / character / level allude to the danger / safety associated with it.
