Peter joined the Club in 1953, crewing for Cowes dentist Richard Collinson in his Merlin Rocket Excalibur. Peter sailed on the family GP14 dingy Bripeda with his two brothers Brian and David. He also raced on Lothian owned by Franklin Ratsey-Woodruff and Danegeld in Cowes Week when she was a bare hull with added ballast and sailed by Bobby Lowein. Peter also Raced on Lord Graigmyle's 12m yacht Norsaga when the 12m fleet raced in Cowes for several seasons.
