Frank Jacobs

Commodore 1995-1998

Frank Jacobs was Island born and bred and went into the Royal Air Force where he worked in photo-reconnaissance, retiring as Squadron Leader, he trained as a teacher, eventually becoming Head of Solent Middle School in Cowes. A third career took him on to become a noted watercolourist and teach painting classes. Several of Franks's paintings are on show in the Club.

He was a keen Flying Fifteen sailor and went on to race a Sonata, Afterthought, and eventually, he owned a small cruiser, Owler.
