Robin Aisher OBE 2001 2019

Son of previous Admiral Owen A, Aisher. Robin quickly picked up the competition virus and showed exceptional racing skills. He started the high-level competition on a soling then moved on to 5.5 meters. Robin competed in the 1960 and 1964 Olympic Games and won a bronze medal in the 5.5 Metre class at the 1968 Summer Olympics -Acapulco in Mexico together with Adrian Jardine and Paul Anderson. He founded MDL "Marina Developments Limited" with his brother Peter and thus managed 18 important English marinas until 1985. Since the 90s he has held positions as chairman or member of the board of directors of numerous companies and has accumulated an astonishing number of honorary titles with the most famous clubs in the field of racing in England. Three times captain of the English team of the Admiral's Cup, he is very attached to the teaching of sailing,

He is the author of a book: "Yacht Skipper" in which he tried to convey his passion for ocean racing and his methods for success. One of his favourite thoughts: "You can't hope to win if you don't know why you lost"
