Current US topics in Austrian High Schools

Description: The project focuses on intercultural exchange through language teaching and allows the student to experience English language instruction in an Austrian High School classroom. He/she will be able to interact with Austrian students in Vienna via online live conferences during lessons as well as learn more about the Austrian school system in individual sessions with the mentor. The student will be asked to identify a current US topic of their choice, select authentic sources, and develop interactive team-teaching lessons together with the mentor. Depending on the student’s interest and pre-knowledge/existing experiences, different forms of classroom involvement are possible.
