i.e.:inquiry in education is a peer-reviewed online journal that serves as a forum for diverse voices of scholars and practitioners from various fields of education and other related disciplines. i.e.: inquiry in education is indexed by ERIC.

i.e. is published twice per academic year, in the fall and spring terms. Please follow instructions for submissions.

i.e. publishes original manuscripts conceived within the field of education and other related disciplines. i.e. submissions include, but are not limited to:

  • Empirically-based and scholarly articles from national and international authors

  • Book reviews

  • Reports or reflections on professional practice

  • International educational experiences

  • Commentaries and opinion briefs

Author Instructions

i.e. accepts only original, not submitted to other journal manuscripts. Manuscripts undergo one round of blind reviews. The authors should refrain from using their names or any other identifiable information in the body of the text.

Length

There is no limit to the number of pages of a submitted manuscript. The length varies depending on the type of submission (see “aims & scope” section). Authors should submit a separate 100- 200 word abstract.

Formatting

APA (current edition) is suggested, but not required. i.e. prepares the manuscripts for publication according to its own style. Original photos are encouraged to enhance effective understanding, although i.e. discourages photos with recognizable faces of minors. Permission for publishing photos must be provided upon acceptance for publication.

Follow the instructions below to submit a manuscript to the i.e.: inquiry in education. Shortly afterward, you will receive an email confirming your submission.


The submission process consists of the following steps:

Read and accept the Article Submission Agreement

Provide information about yourself

Provide information about any authors

Upload your article and related items

Before you begin, please be sure you have the following items:

Submission title

Submission type (see “aims & scope” section)

An abstract (separate from the body of the text)

Keywords (optional)

Submit a manuscript in Microsoft Word

Make sure there is no identifiable information in the body of the text.

No part of the submission is final until all steps have been completed and you click the final “Submit” button. The review process begins as soon as i.e. receives a readable text, along with the abstract and other information. You may revise any of these elements later by clicking the submitted article's title on your My Account page.
