V&T #11 "Reno" (4-4-0, 1872) - Badly damaged in 1995 fire at Old Tucson, currently on display (sans tender) in Virginia City. Purchased by Paramount in 1945 for "The Harvey Girls," sold to Old Tucson in 1970.
V&T #12 "Genoa" (4-4-0, 1873) - Cosmetically restored, inoperable. Currently on loan to NSRM from CA State RR Museum.
V&T #15 "Empire" (2-6-0, 1873) - Cosmetically restored. On display at CA State RR Museum in Sacramento, CA.
V&T #18 "Dayton" (4-4-0, 1873) - Cosmetically restored, on loan to CA State RR Museum. Owned by Paramount Pictures for a number of years.
V&T (2nd) #18 (former McCloud River Ry #18) (2-8-2, 1914) - Operational at Virginia & Truckee Railway, NV. Sister engine to McCloud #19 & #25 (both movie veterans!).
V&T #20 "Tahoe" (2-6-0, 1875) - Cosmetically restored, inoperable. On display at RR Museum of PA, Strasburg, PA.
V&T #21 "J.W. Bowker" (2-4-0, 1875) - Cosmetically restored. Currently on loan to NSRM from CA State RR Museum.
V&T #22 "Inyo" (4-4-0, 1875) - Restored & fully operational at NSRM in Carson City. Runs for special events. Was owned by Paramount Pictures from 1937-1970.
V&T #25 (4-6-0, 1905) - Restored & fully operational at NSRM. Runs regularly. Bought by RKO Pictures in 1947, State of NV reaquired in 1973.
V&T #27 (4-6-0, 1913) - Cosmetically restored, on display at Comstock History Center, Virginia City NV.
V&T #29 (2-8-0, 1916) - Restored & operational at Virginia & Truckee RR. (Currently undergoing rehaul)
Surviving Cars:
V&T Kimball Coach #3 (1872) - Awaiting restoration? In storage at NSRM, Carson City. Was owned by Paramount Pictures from 1937-1970 and used extensively in film production. Ownership transferred to Short Line Enterprises and it was used on the Sierra RR and eventually sold to the State of NV in the late 1980s.
V&T Kimball Coach #4 (1872) - Restored, still in use at NSRM, Carson City. Was owned by Paramount Pictures from 1937-1970 and has a long history of film credits.
V&T Caboose/Coach #8 (1869) - Restored, used on occasion at NSRM. Currently on display in annex. Owned at one time by MGM and Short Line Enterprises, where it worked at Sierra RR. Used in several films. Sold to State of NV in late 1980s.
V&T Kimball Caboose #9 (1872) - Restored, on display at NSRM. Bought by Paramount in 1938, eventually sold off to Short Line Enterprises. Used in several films.
V&T Caboose #10 (1873) - Restored, still in use at NSRM. Sold to Paramount in 1938, then Short Line Enterprises. Moved to Sierra RR and used in films in late 1970s. Sold to State of NV in late 1980s.
V&T Brill Coach #11 (1874) - Awaiting restoration at NSRM. Sold to Paramount in 1938, owned for a time by Short Line Enterprises. Long list of film credits.

V&T Oxford Baggage/Mail Car #13 (1874) - Being used as chamber of commerce office/V&T gift shop in downtown Virginia City, NV.
V&T Oxford Express Car #14 (1874) - Awaiting restoration at NSRM in Carson City. Was the hero "Mollie's car" in Union Pacific and was in wreck scene. Later badly damaged in windstorm at museum site in 1985.
V&T Detroit Combo Coach #15 (1874) - On display at NSRM, awaiting restoration. Sold to Paramount in 1938 and used in a long list of films (most notably in Harvey Girls). Went to Old Tucson in the 1970s for more movie work, eventually donated to State of NV in 1990.
V&T Detroit Combo Coach #16 (1874) - Restored, on display at CA State RR Museum in Sacramento.
Central Pacific Coach #17 (1868) - Partially restored, on display at CA State RR Museum. "Commissioner's Car" that brought Gov. Leland Stanford to the Golden Spike Ceremony. Owned by Fox Studios for decades then bought by Short Line Enterprises and moved to Sierra RR for movie work.
V&T Combine Coach #18 (1890) - In storage at NSRM. Some early film work. Badly burned in arson fire in 1961.
V&T Coach #19 (1880s) - Severely burned in 1995 fire at Old Tucson. Remnants still on site. Was bought by MGM in 1947, and eventually sold at auction with Paramount's collection in 1970 where it went to Old Tucson.
V&T Combine Coach #20 (2nd) (1907) - Recently moved to NSRM in Carson City for restoration. Was owned by MGM starting in 1947 and starred in several films, notably The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.
V&T Mail Express Car #20/21 (1906) - Awaiting restoration at NSRM. Sold to Paramount in 1938 and eventually went to Old Tucson, used in several films. Sold to State of NV in late 1980s, just in time to be spared from the 1995 fire at Old Tucson.
V&T Mail & Baggage #21 (2nd-former NV Northern Ry) (1907) - Badly damaged in arson fire in 1961, remains stored onsite at NSRM. Used in Chicken Every Sunday.
V&T Mail & Baggage Car #23 (1911) - After a long history of moving around to different operations, it has since moved to Niles Canyon Railway in Sunol, CA. It was used in Train to Tombstone.
NV Copper Belt Caboose #3/V&T Caboose #24 - Restored, in use at NSRM. Used in Roar of the Iron Horse.
V&T Caboose #25 (ex-NP #1741) (1921) - Restored, in occasional use at V&T RR in Virginia City.
