This story of an immigrant family living in San Francisco features one brief train scene. 

Late in the film, Katrin (Barbara Bel Geddes) and family go to visit Uncle Chris (Oskar Homolka) in northern California. This quick depot scene was filmed on the RKO backlot using what was at the time RKO's train: Virginia & Truckee #25 and Northwestern Pacific Coaches #37 & 38.
