McLintock! (1963)
McLintock! (1963)
Comedy western starring John Wayne as a wealthy cattle rancher.
Boquillas Corrals on Southern Pacific's Patagonia Branch were seen midway through the film, and here a depot set was constructed.
Here we catch an all-too-quick glimpse of Virginia & Truckee's #22 "Inyo" leading the cattle train, which was transported to the site for filming.
Town scenes were filmed on a very early iteration of the Old Tucson western town set in Arizona.
Later in the film, we see the Inyo again at the depot - this time heading a mixed train with V&T Coach #15 and #4 and a boxcar.
Toward the end of the film, we catch another glimpse of the Inyo basically as set decoration at the corrals.
The Inyo and both coaches survive and are located at the Nevada State RR Museum in Carson City.
