In 1989, a new political phase began in Jordan toward democracy, Its basic title is democracy, pluralism and the broadening of the base of popular participation in government.The return of parliamentary life, respect for the freedom of expression and support for the freedom of the press, Jordan has also adopted the principle of multi-party pluralism and the development of a center for the studies of freedom, democracy and human rights. Jordanian women had full political rights, Including the right of nomination, election and the holding of high-ranking positions of leadership. The decision to cancel the martial law was then made in 1992, as a confirmation of the Democracy road. To confirm the stage of democracy, new legislation has been enacted and foremost among them is the political Parties Act (1992) and the Publications and Publication Act and the Labour and Employment Act.
