Our Etwinning Project

About the project

Creation of an online newspaper with the main subject being Human Rights and Democracy. This newspaper will include articles, reports, interviews and (health, entertainment, trips, fashion,literature, sports, music, films, theater and books)

Aims

1.

Students are informed about topics related to school, the local community, the country and the world.

2. Students are trained in material research and selection of topics that they, their peers and their general social environment are interested in.

3. Students thoroughly search and criticality select the appropriate information and demonstrate their personal opinion on the subject.

4. Students are trained in writing towards a targeted audience.

5. Students take up certain roles that team work, taking up responsibilities and being held responsible for the outcome

6. Pupils understand the importance of the press for democratic citizenship and the safeguarding of human rights

Work process

The duration of the project is six months.The main platform of communication and distribution of work is eTwinning and TwinSpace providing teachers and students with a safe and easy to use and work environment.The official language will be English.

The Timetable of activities includes:

December: promotion of schools and students collaboration

January. Decide together the project activities, set tasks.

February. Exchanging information, gathering material

March: Publication of the online newspapers of each individual.

April. Final presentation of the project

May. Evaluation of the project.

Expected results

he project promotes the work approach from the first idea, up to the planning, the modeling and the implementation.

Our students will improve communication skills in English, will take up the pleasure of carrying out scientific activities and they will be in touch with STEM issues.

Teachers will gain and improve educational programs (and) management skills while improving the quality of their teaching

Transnational groups will decide the digital artifact for presenting their results. All activities will be implemented in the curriculum framework and ICT exploitation plays important role. All groups will prepare a short video or another digital artifact in order to present their work, in an attractive way. At the end of the project, a public Twins pace is expected, in which it will be clear the way that activities were implemented.
