Root Cause :
Card reader faulty (unlikely)
USB cable faulty
Printer's USB port faulty (unlikely)
USB cablen not properly plugin to the USB port
Recommended Action:
Plug in the card reader to the USB port at the back of the printer to see if there's any respond
If no respond, connect the card reader with a spare (long) USB cable which came with the card reader for new printer
If issue still persist with the spare USB cable, connect the new card reader to another printer
If same issue after connected to another printer, swap the working exiting card reader from another printer to the targeted printer
If the existing card reader from another printer is working fine with the targeted printer, connect the existing card reader's cable on the new card reader on the targeted printer. In case both USB cable of the new card reader and the spare long cable is faulty.
If all else fail, inform PM (for project) or update CC (for RM calls) to log case to PSCC for part replacement.
