Die Methode der Herz-Rhythmus-Meditation (HRM) beruht auf den Lehren des Sufi-Meisters Hazrat Inayat Khan (siehe auch Kapitel auf dieser website). Diese Lehre wurde jahrzehntelang von Susanna & Puran Bair praktiziert, weiterentwickelt und verbessert. Zu diesem Zweck gründeten Sie die oben genannte Organisation.
Was ist das Herz? Es gibt ein körperliches Herz, ein emotionales Herz und ein spirituelles Herz, die sich gegenseitig durchdringen und eine Einheit bilden. Der Herzschlagi st die Stimme deines Herzens. Er gibt, zusammen mit der Atmung, deinen Rhythmus vor, taktet dich. Alles Leben ist Rhythmus, und dies ist dein Rhythmus. Wohl dem , der in der Tiefe seines Herzens seinen Rhythmus gefunden hat, ihm lauscht, sich mit ihm angefreundet hat, denn daraus erwächst ein erfülltes, gesundes und selbstbestimmtes Leben.

Wann hast du zuletzt deinem Rhythmus gelauscht, deinem Herzschlag, deiner Atmung? 

Puran und Susanna haben diese Arbeit vor Jahrzehnten begonnen, dem Wunsch von Pir Vilayat Khan entsprechend. Diese Arbeit ist die Essenz der Lehre von Hazrat Inayat Khan. Das Herzfrequenzmuster wird durch das Atemmuster bestimmt (EYH S.25). Die Messung der Herzfrequenzvariabilität, so wie wir sie durchführen, gibt ein wissenschaftliches Feedback-System für verschiedene Praktiken. Es zeigt dir deutlich den Zustand deines Herzens. Moderne Spiritualität ist dankbar für diese wissenschaftliche Unterstützung!

The method of Heart-Rhythm-Meditation (HRM) is based on the teaching of the sufi-master Hazrat Inayat Khan. It was further developed and is genuinely practiced and teached by Puran and Susanna Bair. To teach, spread and always improve HRM they have founded the Institute for Applied Meditation, IAM (https://iamheart.org/). What is the heart? There is a physical heart, an emotional heart and a spiritual heart. The Heart has Width (Weite), Depth (Tiefe), Height (Höhe), it has a forward dimension and an inner dimension. To each aspect there is a different way of breathing, always following the rhythm of the heartbeat..

Puran and Susanna started this work decades ago fulfilling the wish of Pir Vilayat Khan. This work is the essence of the teaching of Hazrat Inayat Khan. The heart rate pattern is determined by the breath pattern (EYH p.25) To measure the heart rate variability, like we are doing it, gives a scientific feed-back system to different practices. It shows you clearly the state of your heart. Modern spirituality is grateful, being able to work with scientific feed-back systems.

• Living from the Heart (deutscher Titel: Aus dem Herzen leben - 1998) was their first wonderful book around HRM (second edition revised and expanded 2009, published by Living Heart Media. Only the first edition was translated in german). - New translated and extended edition to be published 2023

• Energize Your Heart in 4 Dimensions (2007) is much more personal, detailed and going to the depth.

• You think, you have understood the teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan? You might doubt it, while reading their third book Follow your Heart - The Map to Illumination (2011) opens a striking understanding by revealing a unique systematic structure in the teaching of HIK. For us it was an eye-opener (or better: heart-opener). I clearly recommend all these books from my heart.
