The Five seveN Shoots Flat and Straight
The Five seveN is named for the proprietary ammunition originally created by FN Herstal for the P90 personal defense weapon (PDW), the 57x28mm caliber. It was designed as a military round in response to a NATO request for a caliber offering accuracy, range, and performance superior to the traditional 9mm. FN accomplished that by seating a relatively small bullet in front of a bottleneck casing packing a lot of power.
