Choosing Concealed Carry or Open Carry

Finding the Right Caliber
There is no single “right” caliber for a carry firearm. Which caliber the pistol you choose is chambered in should be based entirely on what works for you. Pistols chambered for 9mm have become the popular standard and the sidearm choice for virtually all Western military and law enforcement organizations. The 9mm is a mid-sized cartridge that offers effective performance. However, you may find that a 380 ACP or 32 ACP is far more comfortable to shoot. You may fall in love with the performance of the Colt 1911 chambered in 45 ACP. Shoot different kinds of pistol and brands of pistol. Shoot different calibers in full-sized and compact. Experiment until you find your perfect carry pistol.
