Extra Mags
From hunting to target practice at the range, the main reason you want a chest rig is to hold extra magazines. Whether you are helping to punch out a retaining pin, unscrewing the cover of a red dot battery compartment, or something else, there are plenty of reasons you might want to bring a multitool along with your knife when hunting or going to the range. The flashlight is not just for seeing in the dark. You might need to peer down into the workings of a barrel, or it could come in handy when you are out hunting early in the morning. A notepad and pen might often get overlooked but, like a flashlight, are a practical addition to your chest rig when you need it. From drawing a map, recording times at the range, or just taking down information from another hunter or shooter, having a notepad and pen handy can be extremely useful.
