The Browning Hi Power
The Browning Hi Power is the granddaddy of Wonder Nines, the standard-setter against which all others are judged. As the name suggests, the Browning Hi-Power was the brainchild of perhaps the greatest firearms engineer and innovator in modern history, John Moses Browning. After Browning’s death, the design was completed by Dieudonné Saive, a firearms designer with FN Herstal. The name Hi Power alludes to the original double-stacked magazine capacity of 13 rounds, nearly twice the capacity of other 9mm pistols on the market at the time. It is not just the first of its kind. The Hi Power is also an incredibly well-designed gun. The fact that it has been in continuous military service from 1935 to this day speaks to that fact.
The CZ 75
