Mickey is a college freshman and the third generation of hockey stardom. He was practically bred to be the first round draft pick in the NHL. But then, Jaysen shows up. He is just a guy who loves the game. And he’s really good at it. And, he happens to be really attractive, too! Soon, the rivalry between Mickey and Jaysen turns into something else. Mickey must confront his mental health and ultimately decide what is most important, the boy or the game.

Discussion Questions
Mickey and his sisters are all very different. What purpose do these sisters have in the novel? Why does Graziadei include them as individuals and not just as a group of sisters?
Did the discussion of mental health enhance or take away from the romance between Mickay and Jaysen? How about the other way around? Did the romance take away from the discussion Graziadei was having about mental health?
