School Continuous Improvement Plan (SCIP) - Lynn Bourgoyne
Iimplementation targets and Positive intervention strategies, math and reading. They will be taking a climate survey. So we can have data from both seasons. We have goals about attendance. At lower campus we are focusing on black male students who have high attendance rates. Math goals at lower campus are based on NCAs as well as FAST. We have done it in the past. We always have a universal goal about Math and reading. We have a 10% increase this year. Universal goal is based on proficiency. Goal is based on growth for students.
Reading goals are similar as the goals for math. Lower campus is looking at guiding reading for instructional practices. Goals are 65% of all Kindergarten students.
Upper Campus looks the same. Universal goals are based on black and hispanic students. Trying to decrease from 20% to 10%. Goal is for all students to sign up for Xello. Getting every student in and through the introductory lessons in Xello.
Small group reading is the new structure.
Every St. Paul Public School creates a SCIP plan. Required by the State.
Decision to wait for the next PTA meeting for small group breakouts.
