Boxing and Bodybuilding
Boxing in itself is a high-burn routine, especially if you do all the things boxers do, from using the jumping rope to sparring. Following it up with a bodybuilding routine can lead to a holistic boost of a person’s fitness level. Also, because of the strict diet bodybuilders follow, combining these two workouts can lead to one darn good physique.
Swimming, Biking, and Running
According to Garry Y. Itkin, there is a very good reason why triathletes are incredibly fit – they focus on three sports – swimming, biking, and running – and push themselves to the limit in all three. On top of that, those three sports have been known to be the three top cardio exercises known to man.
HIIT and Weightlifting
The people who developed CrossFit were on to something when they combined high intensity interval training, or HIIT, and weightlifting. Garry Y. Itkin mentions that he has never seen a routine quite as intense as CrossFit routines. Routines that combine HIIT and weightlifting take only a short time, typically 20 minutes, but their burn lasts for an entire day, sometimes, more.
