The list of the characters by campaign and one shot.
Born to Iago and Elizabeth Hightower, Miss Tenley Hightower spent her formative years in the lap of luxury. Tutors, servants, and handmaidens set the foundation for Tenley Hightower’s upbringing while her parents kept the family income and influence afloat. Within the halls of the family’s mansion, Tenley and her twin brother Marcus knew safety and comfort. Still, inattentive parents allowed the Hightower Twins an unorthodox level of freedom. Amidst their higher education, Tenley and Marcus learned to scheme and strategize.
Early on in their vigilante efforts, the Hightower Twins foiled a plot to weaken the family business. The two had snuck into a competitor’s home, procured evidence of a malicious scheme, and brought forth their knowledge anonymously to Turian authorities. Finding pleasure in their roguish pursuit of justice, the two continued to reveal corruption within their capital, styling themselves as gentleman thieves.
Over the next several years, the two become indirectly responsible for bringing high-ranking corruption to justice, taking a little extra for themselves as personal rewards. However, their antics also became the Hightower Family’s worst-kept secret. Months ago, during a botched infiltration, Tenley and Marcus became separated during an escape. While Tenley returned home safely, Marcus has been missing ever since. While Tenley has tried to cover his disappearance as “his pilgrimage to the Vesper Forest,” the official ledger of Tura has presumed Marcus dead.
Iago and Elizabeth Hightower
Tenley has a distant relationship with her parents - their time spent immersed in mercantile endeavors often left them without quality time to spend with their children. Tenley appreciates the vast amounts of coin her parents have spent to provide a caring and comfortable lifestyle, but she has no particularly strong feelings towards either of them. Only after the death and resurrection of Elizabeth did Tenley finally come to value the presence of her parents. While it will take time for the parental rift to mend, that familial bond has caused Tenley to retire from vigilantism and pursue more legitimate avenues of justice.
Marcus Hightower
As partners and crime, Tenley and Marcus shared a strong sibling bond together. While Marcus was comfortable acting as the face of their duo, Tenley happily played the skilled enforcer. Together, their brand of justice brought about fresh new changes for Tura, even if no one knew their involvements. His disappearance is a great concern for Tenley, and though she keeps a strong poker face, she still worries about him.
Sofia Belrose
Miss Belrose serves as Tenley’s friend, confidante, and mother figure. The half-elven maid had been tasked with caring for the Hightower twins from birth, and she took on the responsibility with pride. Tenley quickly took to Miss Belrose’s playful demeanor and empathetic personality. Though the twins are now well into their adulthood, Miss Belrose has earned a place among the Hightower family staff, and Tenley intends to keep it that way.
Jarrah Lockwood is the son of a merchant family from the small farming town of Bedford in Ostanza. Growing up, he learned he had a strong affinity with magic especially magic that had to do with the perception of time and the element of frost. He caught the eye of a noble merchant house who sponsored his application to the Solstice Academy – the most prestigious school for magic in all of Caldron. Jarrah passed their entrance exam and excelled in his studies for several years. At some point he decided he had learned all that he could and set off on his own without graduating. Now, Jarrah wanders the continent searching for information about current events and trying his best to do right in the world.
Felix grew up in Tiramis, a city nestled into the skeleton of a giant lizard from long ago. The economy of Tiramis is based on pharmaceutical development, and Felix’s family specifically worked in drug testing. The youngest of three, Felix was raised to eventually work in the family business. That never appealed to young Felix, though. The alchemy, the concoctions, the science of it all - that was what interested him. But he couldn’t muster up the motivation to run trial after trial, often experimenting on the less fortunate who had no other options.
Seeking greener pastures, Felix moved to Ghirel in his young-adulthood. There, he studied to become a bartender, eventually finding work at the Sun and Stars Casino. He found there that his background in alchemy translated well to mixology. Felix’s potent drinks and affable personality made him a model employee and garnered him a lot of favor with his boss.
Also during his time in Ghirel, Felix came across a money-making opportunity that he couldn’t pass up. Through one of his frequent customers, Felix became aware of a small group of criminals who called themselves the Nomads and followed the Traveler. He began working with them, helping them smuggle drugs, potions, and other illicit contraband through the casino from behind the bar.
One day, when his Nomad friend K’ohna Dusklight came by, Felix mistakenly handed him the wrong vial. Soon after downing its contents, K’ohna collapsed and was dead within a minute. Felix’s boss, was the first to the scene. Knowing Felix wasn’t capable of cold-blooded murder, her first instinct was to tell Felix to run rather than try to hold him there. Upon hearing that, Felix took off instantly, never looking back.
Felix made his way from Ghirel to Jannaq, Jannaq to Riverrun, and then he traveled south to Tura with the hopes of blending into the capital city. Whatever the future holds, Felix has made two vows: to never take an innocent life, and to find a way to repay his boss for the kindness she displayed on that fateful day.
Poppy and Tassa Fizzlebang
Felix has had a tumultuous relationship with his parents for most of his life. First and foremost, he sees major problems with the ethics of their business practices. Because of that, he was never motivated to get involved with their work. Instead, they relied on his two older siblings, Tillie and Sprinkle, for help. Poppy and Tassa see Felix as someone with wasted potential. They see his high intelligence as something that gets him into trouble more often than not. In Tiramis, Felix was always scheming and playing tricks on others or getting lost in matters that were none of his concern. They wish that he applied his talents in ways that were more productive to them.
K’ohna Dusklight
K’ohna was one of Felix’s first regular customers at the Sun and Stars and facilitated his involvement with the Nomads. K’ohna introduced Felix to a whole new way of thinking about his life. As a worshiper of the Traveler, he encouraged Felix to embrace his inner trickster. Through K’ohna’s teachings, Felix gained an appreciation for the wide array of unique cultures and characters of Qarth. He was just starting to love his life in Ghirel and saw K’ohna as one of his closest and only friends up until the day of his death.
Hilda Emberheart
Hilda runs a tight ship at the Sun and Stars, but she is a fair boss who rewards hard work. Felix looks up to Hilda in a way that he never did with his parents. He has respect for how she carries herself and how she treats her employees and customers. Instead of filling clients up with potentially dangerous toxins and mystery mixtures (like his parents), Hilda tries to keep her customers smiling by loading them up with drinks, food, and good times. She and Felix have always had a very positive working relationship, and he hopes to someday repay her for allowing him to flee from the scene of his accidental crime
