For the most part, the Gods and Goddesses in Gaia are grouped into two different categories. Each group has their own overarching worldview and outlook, but each god or goddess within them may choose to carry out their beliefs in different ways. For more on the Creation Story click here.

The first group is called the Deities of Order and contains all of the figures that believe in maintaining the order of the Universe and ensuring life goes on in an orderly and just manner. The second group is called the Deities of Chaos and these figures believe in the destruction of life and all order in the Universe.

Within each group, there is a notion of Lesser Gods and Goddesses, which are essentially half gods or weaker deities that have not yet risen to godhood.

As you may know, the natural order of the Universe tends towards chaos and so the Deities of Order are always at war with the Deities of Chaos. It is a never ending battle that unfortunately puts mortal lives in the crossfire.
