Gaboza's Killing Game: Ivy League was a new take on the series, featuring less Danganronpa influence than ever. On August 22, 2023, it was cancelled due to a lack of activity, having only wrapped up one chapter. Its failure directly resulted in the first Generation 4 story, World-Class Investigation: Poison Ivy's creation; however, on May 29, 2025, over two years after the game initially started, it was revealed in a Gaboza Direct that the game was slated to return sometime 'soon'. The game officially returned on June 11, 2025, kicking off Chapter 2. IV's return caused World-Class Investigation: Poison Ivy to instead be repurposed into World-Class Investigation: Zer0-Sum.
