"Hey, I like to admire a woman’s beauty! There anything wrong with that?"
-Miguel, Strings of Fate
Miguel is the first antagonist introduced outside of the main trio. He serves as the antagonist of the Colombia arc, as well as of the Curse saga. He was born awakened; meaning he's been a magic user his entire life.
He joins Chloe, Carson, and Carla during the Egypt arc after the events of the Carson Alone sub-arc, making him the first person to join whose name doesn't begin with the letter C.
Miguel is a tall man with an athletic build. Similar to Carson, he seems to often have a stern look on his face, unbefitting of his real personality. He tends to show off his upper body, either wearing opened or unbuttoned shirts, or not wearing a shirt at all.
Miguel is introduced as an erratic lunatic who's out for blood. He's unhinged and always looking for a fight, doing things like stealing a gun from a security officer at an airport. However, it's shown during the Egypt and Israel arcs that Miguel actually has quite a friendly disposition, despite how he acted near his introduction. His original behavior was a result of Shem drastically amplifying his anger toward Carla for cursing them.
Miguel and Carla used to live in Cartagena together, and were best friends. This friendship slowly turned into resentment after Carla had the idea to link the two via the Strings of Fate spell.
Carla was originally intended to be a Water magic user. This role was given to Miguel instead.
Miguel is one of three characters to not be named after music in any capacity. His last name, Aguado, is a pun for the Spanish word for water, 'agua.'
Miguel's birthday, 6/12, is the opposite of Carla's, 2/16.
