"Everyone has a goal, Gio. Sometimes you just can’t achieve it on your own."
-Mori, Second Chance
Mori is a mysterious user of Dark magic, whose motives are unknown for most of the story. She's usually seen with a calm, yet slightly unsettling smile. She's the primary antagonist of Second Chance.
Mori is a skinny woman of above-average height. She has very pale skin, ice blue eyes, and jet black hair. She has blue earrings, but the rest of her clothing ties into a monochrome color scheme.
She has a white choker, as well as a white sleeve on her right forearm, that are both used to cover up scars from suicide attempts. Despite Mori's amazing healing capabilities, it's implied the scars remained due to psychological damage rather than physical damage.
Mori is always on the lookout for desperate people. She claims she can make anyone's wishes come true, and always manages, though how she achieves this is unknown. Mori always asks for life in return for her services, whether it's the life of her 'client,' or someone else entirely; though the giver of life always has to agree to the terms.
Mori always had a fascination with Dark magic, and studied it extensively. She thought it to be locked away, as it was said to be for thousands of years. However, when she woke up on her 17th birthday, she saw a timer ticking down, which would end on her 18th birthday.
Through unknown means, she found out the extent of her new magical abilities, and how to prolong her life. Her 'clients' in Second Chance are not her first, and will likely not be her last. However, Second Chance showed the largest amount of people she was able to get in one deal.
Mori is the latin word for death.
Each of the four final villains of the mainline Gen 3 stories was originally planned to represent a horseman of the apocalypse, with Mori being death.
As of Second Chance's script's completion, Mori is responsible for the most important character deaths in a Generation 3 story.
Mori spent the longest amount of time between conceptualization and a final design, as she was first imagined in 2020, but her design was only finalized in 2023.
After Roland's deal was fulfilled, and Mori collected the lives of Gio's five friends, her lifespan was shown to increase by 300 days. Doing the math at 60 days per person killed, Mori has taken the lives of at least 40 people via deals prior to the events of Second Chance.
