"I can fly!"
-Superhero Dan, Superhero Dumbbutts
Superhero Dan is the main character of Superhero Dumbbutts, and the fourth Gaboza character ever made.
Superhero Dan is a tall man, who, like The Cuckoo Guy's two friends, has long, light, and spiky hair. Like most other Generation 1 characters, he wears a white shirt, black pants, and black shoes, with his cape being the only article of clothing that sets him apart. Like most other characters from Generation 1, he's drawn in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid art style, rather than one made by Gaboza himself.
In the first few comics in the Superhero Dumbbutts series, Dan did a few... well, dumb things, such as laying on the carpet, thinking he could fly.
While most Superhero Dumbbutts comics have been lost to time, they generally consisted of similar setups, due to their more newspaper-funnies style. Dan does something stupid, claiming he has superpowers. The punchline is that Dan is an idiot, and doesn't actually have superpowers. In one entry, however, he called his roommate, Mark, into the room, claiming he could shoot lasers from his eyes. Mark, having already dealt with this situation many times before, reluctantly steps into the room; only to see that this time, his usually delusional roommate is telling the truth.
Superhero Dan is the first Gaboza character to exhibit the "stupid superhero" character trope that Gaboza loves. Other examples include Fatman, Magic Touch, Dr. Buzz, and Electroman.
Superhero Dan bears a striking resemblance to The Cuckoo Guy's second friend, but this is likely due to Generation 1's lack of detail.
