Sinigang (Shrimp)
Sinigang (Pork or Shrimp)*
Ingredients:
1 kg pork belly or shrimp (cleaned and peeled)
1 onion, quartered
2 tomatoes, quartered
2-3 long green chili peppers
2 cups water spinach (kangkong)
1 radish, sliced
1 eggplant, sliced
1 pack sinigang mix or tamarind paste
2 tbsp fish sauce
Salt to taste
Instructions:
In a pot, bring water to a boil and add the pork or shrimp. Let it cook for 10 minutes.
Add the onions, tomatoes, and chili peppers. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Add the radish, eggplant, and any other vegetables you prefer.
Add the sinigang mix or tamarind paste, and fish sauce. Let it cook for another 5 minutes.
Season with salt and serve hot.
