Lesson Preview

  • In this lesson we’ll return to the u-substitution technique and study how to adapt it to help evaluate integrals involving products of powers of trigonometric functions. In Module 1 we’ll lay the foundations for this treatment of “trigonometric integrals” by discussing how to leverage the various trigonometric identities to help evaluate such integrals. In Module 2 we’ll systematize our results to develop some general guidelines for evaluating trigonometric integrals. Finally, in Module 3 we’ll see how to handle integrands that are products of sine and cosines with different arguments.
