Interactive Applets and Calculators
Not only are you surrounded by math, thanks to technology it’s something you can interact with directly. That’s why I’ve created the library of interactive math applets and calculators contained in the subpages on this page.
The interactive applets linked to below are tied to content from Calculus Simplified. (“Bonus” figures are not referenced in the book but are either referenced in the online appendixes or are additional applets I created to further illustrate calculus concepts.) They deal with content found in a typical Calculus 1 course.
I have included a GIF next to the links to give you a preview of what you’ll find in the applet. Click on the GIF to access the applet.
The interactive applets linked to below are tied to content from Calculus 2 Simplified. They deal with content found in a typical Calculus 2 course.

This applet helps you visualize the volume of a solid with known cross-sections.
This applet helps you visualize volumes of solids of revolution via the Disk Method.
This applet helps you visualize volumes of solids of revolution via the Washer Method.
This applet helps you visualize volumes of solids of revolution via the Shell Method.
This applet plots the first 10 terms in a Taylor polynomial (red) for a given function (blue).
