1. In order to address the issue of accumulation of secondary products of oil and fat production, as well as to promote the environmental sustainability of oil extraction processes and optimize diets for a wide range of agricultural animals, attention should be paid both to the development of the fundamentals of extruded animal feed with various technological characteristics depending on the ratio of components, and to their implementation in production.
2. Scientific developments under NAAS Research Plan No. 40 “Processing of Oilseed Crops. Oils and Fats” (“Oils and Fats”) for 2025, as well as overall for 2021–2025 (fundamental research) and 2024–2025 (applied research), were completed in full in accordance with the approved technical assignments and calendar plans.
The final results of the completed research activities were approved.
From 21 to 24 October 2025, specialists of the Department for Research in Oil and Fat Processing Technologies of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oils and Fats of the NAAS conducted training on the organoleptic evaluation of vegetable oils at LLC “VKF Velykom” (Tarakany village, Dubno District, Rivne Region).
During the training, participants were introduced to the methodology for determining the organoleptic characteristics of oils, in particular color, odor, taste, and clarity. Practical skills in conducting sensory evaluation and comparing different oil samples were also developed.
On 15 October 2025, based on the results of the state attestation conducted on 24 September 2025, the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oils and Fats of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine was assigned to Group B in the scientific field “Engineering and Technology” (Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1360 dated 15 October 2025, p. 43) and was awarded a Certificate valid until 31 December 2030.
On October 9 2025, Acting Director of URIOF NAAS, P. Petik, took part in the очередное General Meeting of the members of the Ukroliaprom Association.
