From September 16 to September 27, 2024, specialists of the institute – Y. Nechytailo, T. Kukhta, N. Sydorova, and N. Honcharova – completed a short-term advanced training course remotely and received certificates. The course, totaling 80 academic hours, was organized by the State Educational Institution “Odesa Institute of Postgraduate Education” of the National University of Food Technologies (SEI “OIPE” NUFT) on the topic: “Features of Controlling Chemical Indicators of Raw Materials and Finished Products at a Food Enterprise.”
On September 25, 2024, Deputy Director for Research V. Papchenko and Scientific Secretary T. Matveieva participated in a training, practical, and informational event entitled “Grant Opportunities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and Support Tools within the Horizon Europe Program.” During the event, specialists from the National Research Foundation of Ukraine provided a general overview of the Horizon Europe Program and covered financial and legal aspects of participation in the program, the Program’s Missions and the New European Bauhaus initiative, as well as a practical tour of the Funding and Tenders portal.
On September 19, 2024, Acting Director of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oils and Fats of the NAAS, P. Petik, Deputy Director for Research V. Papchenko, and Scientific Secretary T. Matveieva participated in the General Meeting of the members of the “Ukroliaprom” Association (held via videoconference), during which the results of Ukraine’s oil and fat industry in the 2023/24 marketing year and forecasts for 2024/25 were discussed.
On September 13, 2024, representatives of the institute – Acting Director P. Petik, Head of Department Z. Fedyakina, and Scientific Secretary T. Matveieva – participated in a round table on “Current Issues in the Use of Material Assets that Have Lost Their Quality Characteristics and/or Whose Shelf Life (Expiration Date) Has Expired.” The event was organized by the State Reserve Agency of Ukraine and the Ukrainian State Research Institute “Resurs” to publicly discuss problems related to handling products whose shelf life has expired (such as beef, canned meat, fish and dairy products, black loose-leaf tea, white crystalline sugar, and refined sunflower oil), as well as ways of their further use, processing, recycling, or disposal. The issues discussed are highly relevant for business entities in the food market and require prompt resolution.
