On July 11, 2024, Acting Director of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oils and Fats of the NAAS, P. Petik, Deputy Director for Research V. Papchenko, and Scientific Secretary T. Matveieva participated in the General Meeting of the members of the “Ukroliaprom” Association (held via videoconference), during which the operational features of Ukraine’s oil and fat sector from September to June of the 2023/24 marketing year and forecasts for 2024/25 were discussed.
On July 9, 2024, a meeting of the Coordinating and Methodological Council for NAAS Research Program No. 40, “Processing of Oilseed Crops. Oils and Fats” (“Oils and Fats”), took place, during which the implementation of fundamental and applied research developments for the first half of 2024 was reviewed.
On July 9, 2024, a meeting of the researchers of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oils and Fats of the NAAS took place, during which elections for the Academic Council of the institute for the term from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2027, were held.
On May 14, 2024, a meeting of the Academic Council of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oils and Fats of the NAAS was held to mark Science Day (May 15, 2024).
The implementation of research and experimental-design work carried out under contractual topics within the program “Development and Implementation of Environmentally Safe, Resource- and Energy-Saving Technologies for the Production of Competitive Food Products from Oils and Fats at Enterprises of Ukraine’s Oil and Fat Industry” and under contracts with the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences within Research Program No. 40, “Processing of Oilseed Crops. Oils and Fats” (“Oils and Fats”), was reviewed.
On March 15, 2024, a meeting of the Academic Council of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oils and Fats of the NAAS was held, during which the Annual Plan for 2024 and the Prospective Plan for 2024–2025 for the implementation of fundamental and applied research under Research Program No. 40, “Processing of Oilseed Crops. Oils and Fats” (“Oils and Fats”), were reviewed and approved.
A delegate from the Ukrainian Research Institute of Oils and Fats of the NAAS to the General Meeting of the NAAS, scheduled for April 24, 2024, was elected – Acting Director of the Institute, PhD in Technology, P. Petik.
During the week of February 12–16, 2024, the institute’s researchers – P. Petik, V. Papchenko, T. Matveieva, Z. Fedyakina, L. Filenko, I. Petik, N. Staroselska, M. Labeiko, S. Yevtushenko, T. Kukhta, and N. Sydorova – completed a short-term advanced training course remotely and received certificates. The 40-hour course was organized by the State Educational Institution “Odesa Institute of Postgraduate Education” of the National University of Food Technologies (SEI “OIPE” NUFT) on the topic: “Features of Production Control of Chemical Quality Indicators of Food Products. Explanation of Basic Chemistry Concepts and Fundamentals of Chemical Analysis.”
Completion of the course was confirmed by certificates.
