Welcome, everybody! I wish to share with you this blog to show some pieces of advice for learning the Spanish language and other languages. I am Oscar, and I teach Spanish as a second language and mother tongue, and I am also learning English, French, and Arabic. My curiosity for language learning has motivated me to find simple ways to keep going in this journey and share my knowledge with my students. Finally, I hope you like this space for language learning fans!
✅Teach Spanish as a second language for adults: You are going to learn Spanish with my learning methodology, which is grammar, vocabulary games, and listening and reading narrative texts (novels, short stories, podcast transcripts, and blog posts).
✅Teach Spanish to your kids in primary and secondary school: I can help your kids with their Spanish class's homework, projects, and exams. You will only have to send me the contents of the activity in the Spanish class and the pages of your kids' Spanish workbook, and I will be ready for planning, preparing, and explaining the topics to your kids.
✅Use different ways of teaching:
✔️Traditional Class: We learn and practice the topics in class using presentations, worksheets, and websites. You can clarify your doubts at the end of the class. We develop the four language skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
✔️Flipped Classroom: Topics are explained before the class through my own YouTube videos that include questions and notes made on the Edpuzzle website. After that, we practice in class to review the content explained in the videos. We also develop the four language skills: listening and reading by watching Edpuzzle and YouTube videos; writing and speaking by practicing with worksheets and websites.
✅I am a knowledgeable, dedicated, flexible, and fun teacher: This is the opinion of my students when they have received my class for a long time. My main goal is to help you achieve your personal, academic, and professional goals.
✅I am a native Spanish speaker from Costa Rica: You could ask me about my culture, typical expressions, and other interesting facts about Latin America. If you are also moving to Costa Rica and you have doubts about habits, expressions, and vocabulary used in my home country, you could book classes with me and ask me those questions.
