Te sugiero que escojas uno de los siguientes cuentos y luego, respondas las siguientes preguntas en español antes de empezar a escuchar y leer el cuento seleccionado. 

I suggest that you choose one of the following short stories and then, you answer the following questions in Spanish before you start to listen and read the chosen short story.

    What do you see in the photo?

Luego, responda las siguientes preguntas en español después de escuchar y leer el cuento seleccionado. 

Then, answer the following questions in Spanish after you listen and read the chosen short story.

d. ¿Te gustó el cuento o no? Cuéntame la razón.

    Did you like the short story or not? Tell your reason. 

e. ¿Si pudieras cambiar el final del cuento como lo harías? Cuéntame la razón.

Rita trabaja en el Ministerio de Electricidad. Ella trabaja en el departamento de la relaciones públicas, pero ella es muy perezosa. 

Rita works at the Electricity Ministery. She works in the Public Relationships, but she is very lazy.  

Siempre ella habla con su celular en horas de trabajo, charlando con sus amigas en la cafetería. Ella es descuidada. Ella nunca hace su trabajo. 

She is always speaking with her phone in working hours, talking with her friends at the cafeteria. She is careless. She does not do her work. 

Pero ella no tiene miedo de ser despedida porque su tío es un gran jefe en el ministerio. 

But she is not afraid to be fired because her uncle is an important manager at the Ministery.

Su supervisor está muy enojado con ella. 

Her supervisor is very angry with her. 

Hoy él habla con ella y le dice a ella que si no trabaja bien, él la despedirá y también, él le dijo a su tío que ella es una descuidada. 

Today he talks with her and he says to her that if she does not work well, he will fire her and also, he tells her uncle that she is a careless person. 

Rita lloró, ella se disculpó y ella prometió ser obediente y terminar su trabajo. 

Rita cried, she apologized and promised to be obedient and she finishes her work.

Había una vez, una niña cuyo nombre es Clara. Ella estaba viviendo en una casa pequeña con sus padres.

Once upon a time, a little girl that her name is Clara. She was living in a little house with her parents. 

Su madre era muy amable, pero ella siempre estaba triste porque su padre era adicto al alcohol y él siempre malgastaba su dinero. También, a él siempre lo despedían de su trabajo.    

Her mother was nice, but she was always sad because, her father was alcoholic and he was always wasting his money. Also, he was always fired from his job. 

Clara también estaba muy triste porque su padre no le dio dinero. Ella no pudo ir a un viaje con sus amigas.  

Clara also was so sad because her father did not give her money. She could not go to a travel with her friends. 

Cuando llegan las vacaciones de verano, Clara tuvo una idea brillante. Su madre cocina muy bien, entonces Clara decidió vender la comida de su madre a los vecinos y a sus amigas.  

When the summer holidays arrived, Clara had an amazing idea. Her mother cooks very well, so Clara decided to sell her mother`s food to her neighbors and female friends.  

Clara compró un pequeño quiosco para vender la comida, pero su madre decidió no decirle al padre. 

Clara bought a little restaurant to sell food, but her mother decided not to tell her husband.  

La madre vendió su anillo de oro para iniciar el proyecto.

The mother sold her gold ring to start the project. 

Después de unos meses el proyecto tiene éxito y ellas ganaron mucho dinero.

After a couple of months, the project was succeed and they won a lot of money.

La madre decidió acompañar a su esposo al hospital para curarse de la adicción al alcohol. 

The mother decided to accompany her husband to rehabilition to cure his alcoholism.

Después de unos meses el padre recupera su salud. 

After many months, the father was recovered. 

Ahora, toda su familia es feliz.

Now, all her family is happy.

Juan, Ronaldo y Silvia tomaron vacaciones de verano. Ellos están muy felices porque ahora ellos quieren disfrutar de su tiempo. 

Juan, Ronaldo and Silvia had summer holidays. They are very happy because they want to enjoy their time now.

Juan recomienda leer cuentos y Ronaldo recomienda construir una casa para el perro porque hace mucho calor, pero Silvia dice que ellos deberían hacer algo útil.

Juan suggests to read short stories and Ronaldo recommend to build a house for his dog because it is hot, but Silvia says they should do something useful. 

Ella piensa en hacer pulseras y venderlas a los vecinos y amigos.

She thinks about to make bracelets and sell them to her neighbors and friends. 

Después de largas discusiones decidieron dividir su tiempo entre tres tareas. 

After a long conversation, they decided to manage their time among three homeworks. 

Leer cuentos, construir una casa para el perro y hacer pulseras. 

Reading short stories, building a house for their dog and making bracelets. 

Toman el permiso de sus padres.

They asked for a permission to their parents.

Sus padres están muy orgullosos de ellos.

Liliane y Marco están casados hace seis meses, aunque se aman ellos tienen características diferentes. 

Liliane and Marco are married six months ago, even though they love each other, they have different personanilities. 

Liliane es sociable, ella le encanta hacer amigos y adora viajar y disfruta las fiestas, pero Marco es muy tímido y muy conservador. A él le encanta la comida y jugar Xbox con sus amigos. 

Liliane is sociable, she loves to make friends and travel and go to parties, but Marco is very shy and conservative. He likes the food and play Xbox with his friends. 

Ayer Marco tuvo un ascenso en su trabajo y él está muy feliz.

Yesterday, Marco had a promotion on his job and he is very happy.

Liliane decide traer un pastel para celebrar, pero después de que ellos comen el pastel, Marco comienza a usar su Xbox. 

Liliane decides to bring a cake for celebrating, but after they eat it, Marco starts to play with his Xbox. 

Liliane esperó una hora y después ella se siente aburrida. Ella le pide que salga a cenar pero él se niega y dice que él está muy cansado. 

Liliane waited for an hour and after that, she feels bored. She asks him to go to dinner, but he rejects and says he is very tired.

Liliane está muy frustrada y decide hablar con su madre para ayudarla. 

Liliane is frustrated and decides to speak with her mom for a help.

Dentro de la cocina, María y Juan están casados hace seis meses. Juan trabaja en el hospital, él es dentista y María no está trabajando porque ella adora comprar y disfrutar de las fiestas.

In the kitchen, María y Juan get married six months ago. Juan works at the hospital, he is a dentist  and María is not working because, she likes buying and going out to parties.  

Juan ama la comida, pero desafortunadamente María no sabe cocinar. 

Juan loves the food, but unfortunately María does not know cooking.  

Ella vio un video donde estaban cocinando pasta con camarones, después ella decidió cocinar para hacerle una sorpresa a Juan. 

She watched a video where they were cooking pasta with shrimps, after that she decided to cook for making a surprise to Juan. 

Ella entró a la cocina.

She entered to the kitchen.

Ella preparó la pasta con salsa de tomate, ajo y cebollas. También, preparó los camarones. 

She prepared pasta with tomato sauce, garlic and onions. Also, she prepared  the shrimps.

Ella preparó las especias: sal, pimienta y comino.

She prepared the spices: salt, black pepper and cumin.

¡Ahora todo está listo!

Now everything is ready!

Abrió su celular para ver el video de la receta. 

She opened her phone to watch the recipe`s video. 

Ella empezó a hacer la pasta, después de 15 minutos la pasta estaba cocida. 

She started to make the pasta, after 15 minutes the pasta was cooked. 

Luego, se puso a cocinar los camarones y empezó a preparar la mesa.

Then, she started cooking the shrimps and preparing the table.

Ella puso los platos, tenedores, cuchillos, e hizo la ensalada de tomate, pepino, limón, lechuga, zanahoria, aguacate y tomillo. 

She puts the plates, forks, and knives on the table, and she made the green salad with tomatoes, cucumber, lemon, lettuce, carrot, avocado and thyme.    

Agregó los camarones a la pasta y salió de la cocina para recibir una llamada en su celular. 

She puts the shrimps on the pasta and went out of the kitchen to receive a call on her phone.  

¡La comida se quemó! 

The food burned.

Suena la alarma de incendios y todos los vecinos corren a su casa. Llamaron a su esposo.

It sounds the fire alarm and all neighbors run to her house. They called her husband.

Volvió a casa y la cocina estaba en llamas. 

She came back to home and the kitchen was on fire. 

Los vecinos llamaron a los bomberos.

The neighbors called the firefighter.

Los bomberos apagaron el fuego.

The firefighters turned off the fire.

María se disculpó, pero Juan estaba enojado con ella, pero estaba feliz de que ella empezara a aprender a cocinar. 

María apologized, but Juan was angried with her, but he was happy about she started to learn cooking.   

Ella prometió que la próxima vez no hablará por el móvil mientras cocina. 

She promised she will not speak on the phone the next time while she cooks.

Melya quiere comprar un regalo para el cumpleaños de su madre.

Melya wants to buy a gift for her mom`s birthday.

Ella va a la tienda de regalos y encuentra un reloj bonito.

She goes to the gift shop and finds a beautiful watch.

Pero cuesta cincuenta euros y ella solo tiene cuarenta euros.

But it costs 50 euros and she has just 40 euros.

Entra a la tienda y ella reconoce a su vecina Sandra. 

She enters to the shop and she recognizes her neighbor Sandra.  

Ella le dijo que está triste porque necesita diez euros para comprarle el reloj a su madre.

She told her that she is sad because she needs ten euros to buy the watch to her mother.

Sandra le dijo que le puede prestar el dinero. Melya estaba muy feliz y prometió devolver el dinero pronto. 

Sandra told her that she can lend her the money. Melya was happy and promised to return the money back very soon. 

Melya le dijo al vendedor que envolviera el regalo y escribió bonitas palabras en la tarjeta. 

Melya told the seller if he could wrap the gift and she wrote beautiful words in the gift card.  

Ahora, ¡Ella está de camino a casa para celebrar el cumpleaños de su madre!

Now, she goes home to celebrate her mom`s birthday.

Primero, un joven fue a la universidad para pagar su viaje. Había mucha gente cerca de él y él estaba sosteniendo su billetera en la mano. 

First, a young man went to college to pay his course travel. There were a lot of people close to him and he was holding his wallet in his hand. 

Después, el ladrón estaba corriendo muy rápido y pudo agarrar la billetera del estudiante. Entonces, alguien cerca pudo alcanzar al ladrón, recuperar el dinero y devolverlo al estudiante. 

After that, the thief was running very fast, and he could pick the student's wallet up. So, someone closed to him could get to the thief, take the money and give it to him back.  

Finalmente, el estudiante estaba muy feliz y él agradeció al hombre que le ayudó. La moraleja es guardar el dinero en el bolsillo delantero para que no le puedan robar. 

Finally, the student was happy, and he thanked to the man who helped him. The moral is to keep the money in your wallet in the front pocket so that they do not steal to you.

En la calle, Juan  iba camino a casa de su amigo para pedirle prestado un libro.

On the street, Juan was walking to his friend`s house to borrow him a book. 

Estaba corriendo muy rápido.

He was running very fast.

También, usó el celular mientras corría.

Also, he used the phone while he was running. 

Su padre le aconsejó antes que no usara el celular mientras corría.

His dad advised him before not to use the phone while he was running.  

Se le acercó un auto y no le prestó atención.

A car got closer to him and he did not pay attention to it. 

Cayó al suelo y gritó porque le dolía el brazo.

He fell down to the floor and shouted because his arm was hurting. 

Había un policía en la zona.

There was a police officer in the area.

Llamó a la ambulancia.

The officer called the ambulance.

Él descubrió que su brazo estaba roto.

He realized that his arm was broken.

La policía llamó a su padre, quien llegó rápido y acompañó a su hijo al hospital.

The officer called his dad, who arrived quickly and accompanied to his son to the hospital.

But she does not know cooking!

Ella siempre depende de su madre pero hoy está enferma.

She always depends on her mom, but she is sick today. 

El vendedor notó que ella estaba triste.

The male seller noted that she was sad. 

Ella le dijo sobre el problema.

She said to him about the problem.

El vendedor le recomendó una buena cocinera con precios razonables.

The male seller recommended to her a good female chef with cheap prices. 

La señora Carla ahora está muy feliz.

Mrs. Carla is very happy now.

Ella agradeció al vendedor.

Primero, un chef entró en la cocina porque él puede hacer la cena para su esposa. 

First, a chef entered to the kitchen because he can make the dinner for her wife.

Después, el chef estaba usando su celular y él olvidó la comida en la cocina. 

After that, the chef was using his phone and he forgot the food in the kitchen. 

¡Él gritó!

He shouted!

Finalmente, su esposa le ayuda a limpiar la cocina.

Finally, his wife help him to clean the kitchen. 

La moraleja es no usar el teléfono cuando cocinamos. 

Moral is not to use the phone when we cook.

Clara estaba teniendo dificultades el mes pasado.

Clara had some issues the last month. 

Porque su padre estaba enfermo. 

Because his father was sick.

Ella lo estaba cuidando.

She was taking care of him. 

Ella le pidió a su padre que se fuera a vivir con ella pero se negó. 

She asked his father that he were living with her, but he rejected. 

Ella contrató a un enfermero para ayudarlo.

She hired a nurse to help him. 

Para tener algo de diversión, ella decidió invitar a su amiga a cenar. 

To have some fun, she decided to invite to her friend to have a dinner.  

Ella fue al mercado a comprar algunos comestibles, pero su pierna se resbaló en la calle.

She went to the supermaket to buy some food, but her leg slipped on the street. 

Afortunadamente, Marco estaba allí y la ayudó a cruzar la calle.

Fortunately, Marco was there and helped her to cross the street. 

Ahora, se fue a su casa a empezar a preparar la cena.

Now, she went to her house to start to cook the dinner.

Al frente de la boletería del cine María y Juana fueron a pagar sus boletos, pero María descubre que olvidó su cartera en su casa.

In front of the movie theater's ticket office, María y Juana went to pay her tickets, but María realizes that she forgot her wallet in her house. 

Desafortudamente, las chicas estaban en disputa. 

Unfortunately, the girls were in a debate. 

La dama cerca de ellas escuchó la conversación. 

The lady close to them listened to the conversation. 

Ella se ofreció a ayudarles, ella dijo que le pagaran al siguiente día.

She tried to help them, she told them that pay her the next day.  

Las chicas estaban felices y agradecieron a la señora.  

The girls were happy and thanked the woman.

Finalmente, la moraleja es ayudarnos entre todos.

Finally, the moral is helping each other.

En un pequeño pueblo en España, dentro del mercado de abarrotes, Marco va al supermercado con su madre.

In a small town in Spain, inside the grocery market, Marco goes to the supermarket with his mother.  

Su madre le gusta cocinar comida saludable. Por lo tanto, ellos necesitan comprar frutas y verduras frescas.

His mother likes to cook healthy food. Therefore, they need to buy fresh fruits and vegetables.

Su madre le pide al vendedor que le dé tomates, lechuga, pepino, zanahorias, hojas de menta, berenjena, espinacas, aguacate y papas. 

Her mother asked the seller that gave her tomatoes, lettuce, cucumber, carrots, mint leaves, eggplant, spinach, avocado, and potatoes. 

Mientras Marco pide limón, naranja, guayaba, banano, piña y sandía. Además, su padre se une a ellos y pide mantequilla, mermelada, pan, queso, champiñones, huevos y aceitunas. 

While Marco asks for lemon, orange, guava, banana, pineapple, and watermelon. Besides, his father joins to them and asks for butter, mermelade, bread, cheese, mushrooms, eggs and olives.  

Luego, la madre va al carnicero, y compra carne y pollo. Ahora, todos regresan a casa, la madre se ducha y luego, va a la cocina a preparar el almuerzo.

Then, the mother goes to the butcher, and she buys meat and chicken. Now, everybody goes back to home, the mother takes a shower and then, she goes to the kitchen to prepare the lunch.   

Ella cocina lasaña, sopa de verduras y un tazón grande de ensalada. Después del almuerzo, el padre duerme una siesta y la madre comienza a hacer su tarea.

She cooks lasaña, green soup, and a big salad bowl. After lunch, the father takes a nap and the mother starts to do her homework.

El señor Juan y su esposa Rita llamaron al técnico para que viniera a arreglar la televisión.

Mr. Juan and his wife Rita called the technician to come to fix the T.V. 

Después de dos horas llegó el técnico, desmanteló la tele y luego, pasaron dos horas y no sabía como arreglarlo.  

After two hours, the technician arrived, dismantled the T.V. and then, he last 2 hours and still did not know how to fix it.  

El señor Juan estaba muy molesto porque tenía mucho trabajo en la oficina. También, la señora Rita tenía una cita en la peluquería y llegó tarde.

Mr. Juan was upset because he had a lot of work at his office. Also, Mrs Rita had an appointment at the hair salon and arrived too late.

Hablaron con el técnico y se dieron cuenta de que es un empleado nuevo y no tenía experiencia. Ellos estaban muy frustrados. 

They talk with the technician and realized  that he is a new employee with no experience. They were very frustrated. 

Le dijeron al técnico que se fuera y enviara a su jefe. Ellos le ofrecieron al técnico una taza de té y él les agradeció, pero pidió un sandwich de pollo.

They said to the technician that he has to go and bring his boss. They offered the technician a cup of tea and he thanks them but, he asked for a chicken sandwich. 

Ellos estaban asombrados. Además, el técnico le pidió al señor Juan que lo llevara a su casa porque no tenía dinero para tomar un taxi. 

They were surprised. Besides, the technician asked to Mr. Juan that he drives him at his home because he did not have money to take a taxi.  

El señor Juan estaba muy enojado y sintió que no era su día.

Mr. Juan was very upset and felt that was not his day.

Marco y Marita viven en un pequeño estudio y sus vidas estaban bien hasta que tuvieron su nuevo hijo.

Marco and Marita live in a small studio and their live were fine until their child was born. 

Marita le pidió a Marco que se mudara a un departamento grande para tener una habitación extra para su hijo, pero Marco se negó porque quería cambiar su viejo auto.

Marita asked to Marco that they move to a bigger apartment to have an extra room for their child, but Marco rejected her request because he wanted to change his old brand car. 

Marita estaba muy enojada porque cree que mudarse a un apartamento grande es más importante, pero afortunadamente Marco dijo que puede pedir un préstamo bancario para cubrir los gastos del nuevo departamento.

Marita was angry because she thinks that moving to another bigger apartment is more important, but Marco said that he can request a bank loan to pay the new apartment´s expenses fortunately. 

Marita estaba contenta con esta idea y animó a Marco a solicitar el préstamo hoy. Aunque él se negó porque tiene reuniones, prometió solicitar el préstamo lo antes posible. 

Marita was happy with the idea and encouraged Marco to request the loan today. Even though he rejected because he has meetings, he promised to request the loan as soon as possible.

Hoy, el colegio de Marco organizó una visita al museo, pero en el camino el bus se detuvo porque parece que una de las llantas explotó.

Today, the Marco's school organized a visit to the museum, but the bus stopped on the way because it has a flat wheel.    

El conductor estaba muy nervioso, pero usó su móvil y llamó al centro de reparación de automóviles más cercano.

The driver was nervious, but he used his mobile phone and called the closest car repair center. 

Le enviaron un trabajador para reparar el neumático y después de que se arregló, el conductor descubrió que había perdido su billetera. 

They sended a worker to repair the wheel and after reparing, the driver discovered that he lost his wallet.  

Por tal razón, estaba muy triste porque puso todo su dinero dentro de la billetera. 

Fo that reason, he was really sad because he put all his money in the wallet. 

Por otro lado, los estudiantes dentro del autobús decidieron recaudar dinero para entregárselo al conductor y él estaba muy feliz por la ayuda de los estudiantes. 

On the other hand, students in the bus decided to collect some money for the driver and he was really happy for the students´ help.

"Buenas tardes, señor. ¿En qué puedo ayudarle?" preguntó Carla, mientras continuaba escaneando los artículos de la cliente anterior.

“Good afternoon, sir. How can I help you?” Carla asked as she continued scanning the previous customer's items.

El hombre, visiblemente molesto, alzó la voz, llamando la atención de todos a su alrededor.

The man, visibly upset, raised his voice, drawing everyone's attention.

"¡Tú!", dijo señalando a Carla. "¡Tú me robaste la billetera! La tenía cuando entré y ahora no está. ¡La debiste haber tomado!"

“You!” He said, pointing at Carla. “You stole my wallet! I had it when I came in, and now it’s gone. You must have taken it!”

Carla, sorprendida y un poco asustada, se esforzó por mantener la calma. No era la primera vez que enfrentaba a un cliente difícil, pero una acusación de robo era algo completamente distinto.

Carla, surprised and a bit scared, tried to stay calm. It was not the first time she faced a difficult customer, but an accusation of theft was entirely different.

"Señor, le aseguro que no he tomado nada suyo" dijo Carla, con la voz temblando ligeramente. "¿Podría estar equivocado? Tal vez la dejó en otro lugar".

“Sir, I assure you, I have not taken anything of yours,” Carla said, her voice trembling slightly. “Could you be mistaken? Maybe you left it somewhere else.”

El hombre no parecía dispuesto a escuchar razones y continuó acusándola, atrayendo la mirada de otros clientes y empleados. Carla sabía que tenía que resolver la situación rápidamente para evitar un escándalo mayor. Con una mezcla de firmeza y amabilidad, se dirigió al hombre.

The man did not seem willing to listen and continued accusing her, drawing the gaze of other customers and employees. Carla knew she had to resolve the situation quickly to avoid a bigger scene. With a mix of firmness and kindness, she addressed the man.

"Por favor, señor. Permítame ayudarle a buscar su billetera. Si no la encontramos, podemos revisar las cámaras de seguridad para asegurarnos de lo que ocurrió".

“Please, sir. Let me help you look for your wallet. If we don’t find it, we can review the security cameras to see what happened.”

El gerente del supermercado, atraído por el alboroto, se acercó para ver qué ocurría. Carla le explicó brevemente la situación, y él asintió, entendiendo la gravedad del asunto.

The supermarket manager, drawn by the commotion, came over to see what was happening. Carla briefly explained the situation to him, and he nodded, understanding the seriousness of the matter.

Juntos, comenzaron a revisar el área donde el hombre había estado comprando. En una de las estanterías, entre unas latas de sopa, encontraron la billetera del hombre. Estaba claro que se le había caído mientras revisaba los productos. El hombre, algo avergonzado, tomó la billetera y murmuró una disculpa.

Together, they began to search the area where the man had been shopping. On one of the shelves, among some cans of soup, they found the man’s wallet. It was clear, it had fallen while he was checking the products. The man, somewhat embarrassed, took the wallet and mumbled an apology.

"Lo siento, creo que me equivoqué", dijo bajando la mirada.

“I’m sorry, I think I was mistaken,” he said lowering his gaze.

Carla, con su habitual amabilidad, sonrió y asintió.

Carla, with her usual kindness, smiled and nodded.

"No se preocupe, señor. Todos cometemos errores. Me alegra que hayamos encontrado su billetera".

“Don’t worry, sir. We all make mistakes. I’m glad we found your wallet.”

El hombre, ahora más tranquilo, se fue del supermercado. El gerente felicitó a Carla por manejar la situación con tanta gracia y profesionalismo. Los otros clientes, que habían presenciado el incidente, murmuraban entre sí sobre lo bien que había manejado Carla la situación.

The man, now calmer, left the supermarket. The manager praised Carla for handling the situation with such grace and professionalism. The other customers, who had witnessed the incident, murmured among themselves about how well Carla had managed the situation.

Esa noche, al cerrar el supermercado, Carla se sintió orgullosa de cómo había manejado el problema. Sabía que su amabilidad y educación habían hecho la diferencia una vez más, y eso la llenaba de satisfacción.

That night, as the supermarket closed, Carla felt proud of how she had handled the problem. She knew her kindness and education had made a difference once again, and that filled her with satisfaction.

Además, Carla se dio cuenta de que perdió su cartera y no pudo encontrarla por ninguna parte. Entonces, ella se empezó a reír porque tuvo la misma suerte que el hombre que perdió la billetera. 

Moreover, Carla realized she had lost her own purse and couldn’t find it anywhere. Then she started to laugh because she had the same luck as the man who lost his wallet.

Al final del cuento, ella estaba devastada por la situación, luego tomó sus cosas y se fue a la parada de autobuses. 

At the end of the day, she was devastated by the situation, then took her things and went to the bus stop.

Al siguiente día, ella observó que en el baño de mujeres estaba su anhelada cartera. Finalmente, ella lloró de alegría.

The next day, she noticed that her longed-for purse was in the women’s bathroom. Finally, she cried with joy.

After that, he smelled the smoke from the kitchen and went there to know what was happening. Finally, he found that the food got burned and turned the oven off.

Había una vez, un marido y su mujer que se fueron de campamento en el desierto. Primero, Mario y Juana siempre estaban discutiendo. 

Once upon a time, a husband and her wife went to a bootcamp in the desert. First, Mario and Juana were always discussing.

Después, Mario preparó la tienda y empezó a preparar el fuego para cocinar la comida. Entonces, Juana comenzó a abrir la lonchera, pero de repente empezó a gritar: —¿Dónde está la carne? —. 

After that, Mario prepared the camping tent and started to prepare the campfire to cook the food. So, Juana started to open the lunchbox, but she started to scream immediately: —Where is the meat?—

Entonces, Mario estaba muy enfadado y la acusó de ser descuidada. Luego, siguieron discutiendo y Juana dijo que tenían que calmarse para poder pensar en cómo encontrar una solución. 

So, Mario was very angry and blamed her for being careless. Then, they continued discussing and Juana said that they had to calm down to be able to think how to find a solution.

Después de caminar durante una hora, Mario encontró un grupo de amigos en una tienda de campaña y estaban cocinando carne a la parrilla.

After walking for an hour, Mario found a group of friends in a tent, and they were cooking meat on the grill.

Le dijeron a Mario y a Juana que eran bienvenidos a comer con ellos. Finalmente, ellos estaban muy felices de poder encontrar ayuda y comida.

They told Mario and Juana that they were welcomed to eat with them. Finally, they were happy to find help and food.

Para empezar nuestro cuento, Bia es una mujer joven y tiene 25 años. Ella está casada y tiene un bebé de un año. 

To start our story, Bia is a young woman and is 25 years old. She is married and has a one-year baby.

Ella es traductora. Un día, leyó que una nueva agencia de traducción está contratando personal. Aunque era un trabajo de tiempo completo, ella insistió en postularse.

She is a translator. One day, she read that a new translation agency is hiring personnel. Even though it was a full-time job, she insisted on applying for the job.

En segundo lugar, estaba segura de que podía persuadir al gerente para que trabajara de forma remota.

In the second place, she was sure that she could convince the manager to work remotely.

Finalmente, ella le dejó en claro su punto de vista, afortunadamente el gerente aceptó contratarla.

Finally, she mentioned her point of view clearly, the manager fortunately accepted to hire her.

Por lo tanto, la moraleja es que uno debe tener voluntad para lograr sus objetivos.

Primero, Roberto quería salir en su bote. Él le prometió a su esposa que iría a pescar. 

First, Robert would like to sail with his boat. He promised to her wife that he would go fishing.

Después, cogió su caña de pescar y tomó su bote, pero desafortunadamente no consultó las noticias sobre el clima.

After that, he picked his fishing rod and took his boat, but he did not consult the weather forecast.

Además, hacía mucho calor y no trajo suficiente agua. También, se le olvidó su bloqueador solar.

Besides, it was very hot, and he did not bring enough water. He also forgot his sunscreen.

Entonces, le dio un dolor de cabeza horrible. Por suerte, encontró un barco cercano y pidió ayuda.

So, he got a terrible headache. Luckily, he found a ship close and asked for help.

Si yo fuera un viajero del tiempo, visitaría diferentes momentos de la historia. Primero, iría al futuro para ver cómo sería mi vida dentro de muchos años. Quizás tendría una casa cerca del mar y trabajaría como escritor. Cada mañana caminaría por la playa y bebería café mirando el amanecer. ¡Sería hermoso!

If I were a time traveler, I would visit different moments in history. First, I would go to the future to see how my life would be in many years. Perhaps, I would have a house close to the sea and work as a writer. Every morning, I would walk around the beach and have coffee looking the sunrise.  It would be beautiful!

Después, volvería al pasado. Conocería a artistas, científicos y exploradores famosos. Les preguntaría sobre sus sueños y ellos me contarían historias increíbles. Si pudiera, tomaría fotos para recordarlo todo.

After that, I would come back to the past. I would meet famous artists, scientist, and explorers. I would ask them about their dreams, and they would tell me incredible stories. If I could, I would take pictures to remember everything.

Finalmente, regresaría a mi tiempo. Yo compartiría mis aventuras con mis amigos y ellos querrían viajar conmigo. Tal vez un día nosotros también viajaríamos juntos, ¿quién sabe?

Finally, I would come back to my time. I would share my adventures with my friends, and they would want to travel with me. Perhaps, one day, we would also travel together, who knows?

Si yo tuviera un día tranquilo, me despertaría a las siete de la mañana. Me levantaría despacio y me prepararía un desayuno ligero, tal vez pan con queso y una taza de té. Después, saldría a caminar un poco para sentir el aire fresco.

If I had a quiet day, I would wake up at 7:00 a.m. I would get up slowly And prepare my light breakfast. Perhaps, bread with cheese and a cup of tea. After that, I would go to walk a little bit to feel the fresh air.

Más tarde, estudiaría español durante una hora. Repetiría vocabulario nuevo y haría algunos ejercicios fáciles. Luego, llamaría a mi amiga para conversar un rato y practicar el idioma con ella.

Later, I would study Spanish for around an hour. I would repeat new vocabulary and do some easy exercises. Then, I would call a friend to have a small talk and practice the language with her. 

Al mediodía, cocinaría el almuerzo para mi familia y comeríamos juntos en la mesa. Por la tarde, leería un libro interesante o vería una película tranquila. Si tuviera tiempo libre, haría un poco de ejercicio en casa o saldría a comprar algo que necesite.

At midday, I would cook the lunch for my family and eat together on the table. In the afternoon, I would read an interesting book or watch a quiet movie. If I had leisure time, I would do some exercise at home or go out to buy something that I need. 

Por la noche, cenaría pronto y después descansaría en el sofá escuchando música suave. Finalmente, me dormiría con una sensación de paz y felicidad.

At night, I would have dinner soon, and after that I would rest on the sofa listening soft music. Finally, I would sleep with a sense of peace and happiness.

Van a firmar un contrato muy importante con un nuevo cliente. También asistirán muchas celebridades.  

They are going to sign a very important contract with a new client. Many celebrities will also attend the dinner.

Vanessa ha encargado el servicio de comidas a un hotel de cinco estrellas y toda la decoración de la casa ha sido realizada por un famoso organizador de eventos. 

Vanessa has hired catering services from a five-star hotel and all the decoration of the house was done by a famous event organizer.
