These are the concept designs that I did for our Worcestershire page for the Andrew Grant digital magazine.
Wireframes:
These wireframes may also be very similar as the wireframes for all the previous pages, however there are elements of the wireframes I have made to suit the content that we want to publish on the Worcestershire page. The first wireframe has a collage at the bottom of the page with lots of images of places to visit in Worcestershire. All these places should have links to the business or areas website so the user can gather more information if they are interested, however I think the images are too small on the page and the image is meant to speak for itself across the whole of this magazine and these images may be too small to see properly. However the second wireframe has four bigger images and the third wire frame bigger again, this makes the images more visually effective, and due to there now only being four places to advertise, this could be something that changes with each issue, depending on what we want to focus on and which places are best to visit in each season.
Digital Mock Ups
Looking at both of these digital mock ups side by side I think the concept on the left has the best header and navigation bar, as it opens up a page that will have a lot of information on and therefore it adds to the visual element to make sure there is not too much text on the page. However I think the 'places to go' element of the page is much better on the digital mock up on the right hand side. The images are much more visible and the titles make it clear what the image refers to, the image itself can also be its own selling point and therefore needs to be effective and advertise what is being spoken about. This also makes the magazine more commercial as these titles on the images can be links to the websites of businesses and tourist attacks such as West Midlands Safari Park, who have their own website.
