These are the concept designs that I did for our dogs page for the Andrew Grant digital magazine.
Wireframes:
These wireframes are all also similar to the pervious pages in order to keep consistency and a structure to make sure there is a flow between the pages and the user does not think that they have left the website. However there are a few elements I have included that are relevant to this page in particular. In the first wireframe that includes a dog walking checklist, which would be a interactive element to the site, where there would be a list and if the user has the things on the list they can click the box and the tick would appear, therefore making it interactive, and when the page is refreshed the ticks would disappear. On the second wireframe there is a tile format of images at the bottom of the page that would all be images of places to walk your dog with the names of these places on top of the image, this would allow the user to find out more about the local area and also it could be a link to google maps ect with the location of the area.
Digital Mock Ups
The first digital mock up pictured below, this is following the same design as the other pages I have created, with the header image relating to the page but also to the winter issue of the magazine. Also this image links well with the red colouring of the brand in a way that is not too overbaring as having a red header would be. The grid format of images I spoke about above would have a hover interaction where when the image and title is hovered over the image would change to a map of the walks you can take your dog on in that location, and then if clicked further it would open up on google maps with the location of the area so the user can see how far away it is from themselves.
The digital mock up on the left is designed from the third wireframe and I do not think it is as effective as the one above, there looks like there would be too much text on the page and it may be overwhelming. But this makes my decisions harder as this design works well on pages such as the country houses page but not as well on this one, but the digital mock up above is more consistent across all pages. But we will use elements of all the designs we have created in the group in order to design our final website.
