Spring 2022 Lacrosse sign ups are now open! ELHS starts March 21st!
"COMMUNICATION TERMS ARE IN QUOTES, BOLD, & ITALICS"
Our players, coaches, and families must learn to speak the same language in order to effectively plan engaging, high tempo, high rep practices.
Communication = “A NAME” + “A COMMAND” ... For example,“Jimmy, got your help!”
Maximize passing and catching on the run & minimize stationary
An “EXCHANGE” is a pass to move ball VS. a “FEED” is a pass to assist a score.
During competition, coach what "learned" fundamental should be used
Stick is the target and should be upfield (away from goal) or downfield (towards goal) & NOT "hanging" (at a players side)!
Proper stick grip. Have kids tape stick in three places - 1) bottom, 2) throw (elbow to hand down from stick head), 3) catch (2 fists down from head)
