Closing out games vs. Respecting a defeated opponent

• Closing out games: We 100% want to teach our players how to close out games. Part of closing out games is to learn how to maintain possession of the ball even when there is a quick scoring opportunity. This is extremely important when in tight games against good opponents.

• Respecting a defeated opponent: When winning a lopsided game, teams should implement these strategies in a quiet & respectful manner. This is a time to stay focused and get better, not play on the sideline.
