Spring 2022 Lacrosse sign ups are now open! ELHS starts March 21st!
Player safety & sportsmanship are our top priorities. In the event a coach finds himself in a game that is getting out of control for whatever reason (refs, players, fans, coaches, etc.) it is our job is to deescalate the situation.
Pull your players AND coaches who are contributing to the situation.
Determine a parent rep to monitor spectator behavior and communicate with a parent from the opposing team to do the same.
Call a timeout. If you have none left - ask the referee for a timeout to discuss players safety. ONLY the 1 HEAD COACH from each team and referees should talk - this is not a time to argue - our job is to deescalate the situation.
Speak to both teams players and remember these are kids and this is just a game.
Lastly, call the game if necessary.
