Shaping cultural strategies for regenerative futures at COP30

Belém, at the heart of the Amazon, becomes the symbolic stage for a cultural response to the climate crisis.
EcoLivre is the international meeting of the Weavers of the Future initiative, bringing together cultural institutions, practitioners, and networks from around the world.
What is EcoLivre?
A two-day digital forum to:
Share strategies and good practices for climate justice and cultural regeneration.
Address systemic barriers to sustainability.
Co-create a shared vision and a three-year operational commitment for cultural action.
Theme: “Heritage and Empowerment of Local Development Actors in Times of Climate Crisis”
This theme, inspired by the 2012 Belém meeting, reflects today’s urgent need to strengthen community capacities and integrate culture into climate strategies.
Program Highlights
Presentation of selected projects from the International Digital Exhibition.
Debate on systemic challenges and cultural strategies for regenerative futures.
Collective discussion on the Belém Agreement for a Regenerative Era.

Day 1 – November 4, 2025
Focus: The “Weavers of the future” Project and Institutional Commitments
Opening Session
o Welcome remarks by the Brazilian Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Inácio Arruda (to be confirmed).
o Raul dal Santo, representing the Italian Ecomuseum Network and serving as a member of the Ecolibre Coordination Group alongside ABREMC, will provide an overview of Ecolibre’s objectives and its connection to COP30.
Keynote Panel: Culture as a Catalyst for Climate Action -
o The cultural dimension of the climate crisis
o Regenerative cultural change and bioregioning
