Downderry and Seaton are vibrant, beautiful Cornish coastal villages, and our Village Hall sits right at the heart of the community. Members, residents, and visitors can all take part in a variety of fundraising events and activities held here. These are organised by the Village Hall Trustees, 'Friends of the Village Hall', and other local residents, organisations, and groups.
The Downderry and Seaton Village Hall is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) with wider membership, Registered Charity Number 1210090.
Together we have raised £115,000
The Trustees are delighted to announce that we have received a pledge of £20,000 from the Bernard Sunley Foundation which we will receive when we are ready to start the building work.
Your help is crucial to ensure the vital building work needed for the Village Hall can be completed. Your support will secure the future of this essential community owned building, allowing events and activities important for people's health and well-being to continue.
There are many ways you can help raise the necessary funds, such as Organise or take part in a sponsored event or Donate items or your time for auctions/raffles. For more information, please visit 'Save our Village Hall'.
You could also give a donation or make a pledge, every pound helps! And if you are a UK taxpayer, please allow us to boost your donation by 25p of Gift Air for every £1 you donate, at no extra cost to you.
As a lasting thank you, your name will be added to our 'Wall of Thanks', listing everyone who has helped to save the Downderry & Seaton Village Hall. This special recognition will be unveiled when the Village Hall reopens after the work is completed.
