Our hall is suitable for most types of events and social occasions such as birthday parties, wedding receptions etc.
The hall is 13 metres long, 6.5 metres wide, 3 metres to the bottom of the lights and has a maximum seating capacity of 90 in a theatre style layout and standing with no tables or chairs of 110. For a café style layout for events such as weddings, we can comfortably seat 70, normally 10 people per table. However, this maybe less depending on the stage configuration required for an event. The kitchen meets current Food Hygiene standards for light refreshments, minor food preparations & cooking with hot meals mainly prepared off-premises. The hall is available for hire most days and evenings. To check availability, go to the Calendar. Please note, if the time you want to hire is shown as in use by a VH group, your booking will take priority.
The stage can be extended, but a competent person, that is someone who knows how to do it, must take responsibility for its erection and dismantling and be present when this is done. If you would like to use the large stage, ensure you state this on the booking form and give the name of the person taking responsibility.

Hire costs
Hall: £10 per hour and must include the time needed to set up and clear away. The cost includes the use of tables, chairs, fridge, kitchen utensils, crockery and items for making and serving hot and cold drinks and light refreshments. This is reviewed annually and if it is decided to increase it, the new rate will come into effect from the 1st January.
Kitchen: £5 per morning, afternoon or evening session to use the ovens, hobs, dishwasher, microwave and warming cabinet.
Kitchen: £5 per morning, afternoon or evening session to use a second fridge, freezer, wine coolers and wine buckets.
Projector and Screen: £10 per hour it is in use and to include time to set up and put away. The Projector and Screen can only be used if there is a Committee member available to operate them.
Bar Service using Village Hall Stock: £5 per hour, per Committee Member. This service can only be given if there are at least two Committee members available.
Heating: Wall mounted heaters operated by a coin meter which takes £1 and £2 coins.
Available for hire away from the hall
Tables: Large table £5 per day and small £3 per day when used away from the Hall.
Chairs: When used away from the Hall they can only be used inside and a donation given.
