Creazione di una ciotola per friselle pugliesi

Zheuri Zhang - Rhode Island School of Design

The Brief

Feedbacks

Good starting point!

- Occupation "architect" doesn't match the "occupation" in the description.

- You could try to generate more specific information and data for the persona. Does he live in a small town, in a city, by the seaside. Which city or area of the apulian region specifically?

- Further reasoning regarding routine and dietary patterns can backup the cultural context and help with a specific concept

- Image: yep, can be. The image generated doesn't represent a frisella and that tiny plate is not used. The main concern is that friselle are not a street food, image generated with midjourney can incorrectly lead to that deduction. Nevertheless, it can be interesting to think about a new product enabling to eat friselle "on the go" and think of a specific kind of plate for that context.

Concept

Design a bowl for Friselle Pugliesi. The bowl is a round dish with a diameter of 12 inches, wide and shallow with a curved lip, and a flat bottom. There is a deeper recess in the center of the bowl for soaking the Friselle Pugliesi in water or olive oil. The surface of the bowl is glazed for easy cleaning, with traditional Apulia patterns painted on the glaze.

This new design can enhance the dining experience for first-time eaters of this food, as people can use this bowl to gain a better understanding of the culture surrounding Friselle Pugliesi People can also easily soak the Friselle Pugliesi in water or dip it in olive oil according to their own preferences.

Midjourney produced this based on the prompts I provided

I made it with rhino (what I actually wanted)

Feedbacks

-It can be helpful trying to understand with ChatGPT any accompayning gestures during the preparation process.

-The food is not dipped in oil; it has to be immerged in water and then the water has to be rinsed off a little. This last detail can influence the shape of the product. Analyzing correct gestures as well can help shape the plate
