The egg looking thing in the shrub is......... I have absolutely no idea
And we thought they were extinct. Dinosaurs in the middle of nowhere and a woolly mammoth up in the hills, go figure
Next trip we are heading up to Santa Barbara and because of the recent rains the hills had become a mass of yellow mustard flowers. It was stunning and a rarity.
This rose garden was beautiful
Just a small part of our 3 weeks in California, I will put some more pics up along the way. We are now in Tassie but that will be the next update, just to let everybody know though it is pissing down rain, blowing like a bastard, cold and generally normal, No global warming shit down here hahahaha.
Last bunch of pics mostly taken by Alex,
Point Dume, Malibu
In the Natural History Museum looking at dioramas, and they were amazing the way they were done.
Playing around in Ojai
Walking into a grove of Pixie Mandarins, the blossom scent was beautiful
Olvera St markets
LA Grand Central Station , a beautiful building.
In the food market in the city, you name it, reckon you could get it here.
More of the stunning landscape
Basically just weird shit,
So now it's good bye to California, we had a great time here, was so nice to be able to spend parent and grandparent time and the hospitality shown us by the extended family was warm and wonderful. Thank you. We love and miss you all,
Ok and as per usual there is a story to tell. I only drove once while we were there. Had to drive Alex's car home, 5 minutes away, no problems, I have driving on the wrong side down pat......... well until I pulled up outside Alex and Drey's, hit the bloody curb and blew out the front tyre. @#!%$^&&%$
The flight home was surprisingly easy and the kids enjoyed watching movies, we felt weary when we landed but we have not suffered with jet lag at all, which has been good.
In Sydney and we spent time with Di's brother Richie and Mum. Always good, love you guys
Ah it's good to be back in Oz, watched this native Noisy Minor pull the sugar stick out and open it up and then eat the sugar out of it.
So there you have it folks, the gypsies and the kids have put a few miles under our belts since the last update, missing Tigger badly though. Oh well, we'll be back with Tigger in August and then back to our house sitting.
In the meantime the heater is cranked up and we are snug and warm while the storm rages outside, oh and we are in Tassy now.
Till next time take care all and chase your dreams with everything you have.
Love you all.
The Gypsies and the kids, xxx
