Hey folks, here we go again, a wee bit behind on the updates but hey, you can't have everything. To start with we are doing what we do best, having coffee, but we will slip back to Fremantle which is where we were last update.
Remember these two characters, Cassy and Meadow, cool pair and good fun to spend time with.
You just gotta love a tongue like that and hey..... it saves on tissues hahahaha
Down in the Fremantle markets and found red Dragon Fruit, wooohooo, they seem to be rare as hens teeth in the west. Sadley we should of left it a few days before eating. It was not quite ripe so a little tasteless, oh well, it looked amazing though.
Out and about with the puppies, they love the water
Ok so do we, especially when there is coffee involved, the chippies were good too
This was the start of something hilarious. Pog and Tuppy are on the floor as can be seen. Meadow was snoozing in her bed and when we put them on the floor she looked at them, well Pogstar mainly and she got this weird look on her face and stated pushing away from them.
She then got out of her bed and walked around them staying as far away as she possibly could with out taking her eyes of them. We had tears in our eyes from laughing so much
Cassy on the other hand was not worried at all
Looking on google, as you do, for somewhere for coffee and we found a place called "Rabbit in the Moon". Sounded good so off we go. Well it does not exist any more, it was now called something else and it was closed anyway. Dam. Well the next best thing is to put coffee into the GPS and it brought us to this place, (closest to where we were). Shit this doesn't look all that inviting either. Hmmm ok was starting to get the grumpy coffees by now so decided to have a look anyway, boy are we glad we did.
The coffee was so goooooood and the food was amazing.
We will definitely go back to the Kiosk for breaky next time we are in Fremantle.
But it is time bid the puppies and Fremantle goodbye and we are back to three puddles once more
Time for some well earned Tigger maintenance and the work bench is so good to use. New chain and sprockets done and dusted.
Happy birthday celebrations for Ma Wilkin.
The alarm clock goes off way to early here, come on girls whats going on here. The sun is not even up yet........is it
Oh ok today we are taking the girls up to Dongara for play time and lunch compliments of Great Granma Robinson (Diney's mum)
The captain and her crew mate putting the official name on the boat
Local burnoff and when we were in Fremantle we picked a heap of fresh olives and then salted them down. Four weeks later we washed the salt off and then covered them in olive oil and they are yummy. Much easier than using brine.
It is time again to head south, this time up into the Perth hills, first off the Dilly Dally's for a week and then around the corner to Parkerville.
Of course there has to be coffee involved, in between the rain, we headed out with the Dilly Dally's for a ride, this time to a place called "The Packing Shed". A small boutique vineyard with a beautiful outlook and scrummy food, oh and good coffee.
Our charge for the next couple of weeks is Master Pippin. He was great fun and a pleasure to look after. Being as it rained most of the time we were very grateful for a log fire and a warm house. The gardens around the house were really cool as well
Cinnamon scrolls on a cold rainy day. Works for us anyway and Diney, is Pippin licking crumbs of your face hahahaha
Did someone mention coffee, Cafe Mojo in Mundaring fits the bill just nicely and a cool place it is.
Some pics of the gardens where we are.
Not much can be said here folks,.
And another good coffee shop. This time a place called Perrella's in Darlington. Caught up with good friends Jess and Gav, good food, good coffee and good laughs.
We are at the end of our sit and are sad to leave. It has been a great sit in a really pretty area, a really nice house and a great puppy to look after. A quick ride in between the rain storms back to Paul and Pearls for the night, love you guys and then we headed out north the next morning. Thankfully the weather is clear but very cold for our return to Three Springs. This time we took a diversion through to Gingin to another great coffee shop called CU@Park. Then home safe and sound.
Now you probably have seen me with my old man bag. Well after many years and numerous repairs I have had to retire it. But a man can not be without a man bag can he, so I made a new one out of some recycled truck seat covers.
Gave all the bits a good scrubbing and discovered it was grey and not brown hehe
Hand stitched and I am very pleased with the end result.
Who's a clever boy then haha
There you have it folks.
You all take care and have fun
Love from us
