Welcome back folks, some of you have been wondering what is going on so we shall fill you all in . First up we passed the 170,000klm on Tigger
After finishing down in the Perth hills we headed back to Three Springs for grandy time, which we always love. Some nice rains so the crops were looking pretty good and the new lawn in the back yard has started to grow.
And because of the rain there is only one thing that can be done and that is "Jump in muddy puddles"
A ride up to Geraldton to visit our favourite cafe is the order of the day
Some random pics
But the time has come around again to pack up Tigger and head to Geraldton (where I am writing this update) for our next sit, 7 weeks for this one.
Some sad news here as a week before we were to head to Gero Di's mum in Sydney died. Di flew over to Sydney to be with the family for the funeral and I headed up to Gero to start our sit. Di joined me a couple days later.
Now on a brighter note our charges for this sit are several goldfish, numerous wild birds that come to the feeder and these two lovable characters
This is George,
George is a cross Jack Russell / Chihuahua and is totally crazy, in a good way though.
Then we have Mica, totally lovable and a gorgeous colour, what her DNA is who knows
This is Garry the Golden Orb Weaver, he/she has taken up residence directly above the clothes line which has created a huge problem because Di believes that Gary is going to pounce on her while she is putting clothes on the line. I have to stand guard to make sure it doesn't happen. The cool thing about Gary is the golden web, yep the web they spin is golden and is an amazing sight with the sun shining on it.
Now the trauma that Gary caused could only be settled by coffee at Skeetas
And the Jaffle Shack on the foreshore
and Port Denison.
A ride up to Kalbarri for ........... you guessed it coffee and because we have not been there before, and we really liked it
A walk about then a cold drink at the pub, all up a very enjoyable day
Fridays are good days because Chonny comes to Gero to do her shopping and we get to babysit the wee one. So while Granma and Isabelle are playing in the play ground I have to check out the coffee, well me and Teddy that is.
And Dome on the foreshore for breaky.
Now you all are probably thinking all we do is ride about and drink coffee, what a lark, well it's not all beer and skittles you know.........
We walk the puppies
And we wash the puppies
and we garden because we like gardening
and we enjoy the colours, then we work our brains with jigsaws
and then there is sleep time which is most important, or maybe they just are not as keen on jigsaws as we are hahaha
We found a fruit and veg shop in the back blocks and they had red Dragon Fruit. yummo
Fathers day and the family came up and we had a picnic in the park and had rides on the wee trains there which I might add are really cool, all to scale as well
Well a couple of days later a bud comes out, (there is a couple more on it now)
Was standing guard at the clothes line (remember Gary) when I spotted this flower on a shrub in the corner and it is huge
Then the bud opens up. These flowers, what ever they are, are huge
yeah well tell me about it later zzzzzzzzzzzzzz I don't want to adult right now
been thinking about baking some bread and found a soda bread recipe that sounded easy enough. Mixed all the ingredients and added a diced up chilli, chucked it into the oven and oh boy, this is the end result. You have no idea how hard it is to NOT rip into it while it was hot out of the oven, but believe me it was worth the wait.
The testing tasting, bread dipped in olive oil and dukkah, with olives, hard cheese and ricotta, bloody delicious
There you are folks, that brings us up to date, we are cruising along nicely and have more sits coming up and a surprise or two. Follow your dreams and have fun.
We would like to finish this update with a few pics and memories of Di's mum
Love you all, the Gypsies. xxx
